Company History
Slaughter and May Solicitors was founded by William Capel Slaughter and William May on 1st January, 1889 while they’re training together in London. By 1940, Slaughter and May formed different departments to offer specific areas of law services. They’ve opened their Hong Kong office in 1974, moved to London office at One Bunhill Row in 2002 and opened Beijing office in 2009. Slaughter and May Solicitors played an important role through their services at the time of privitisation of British Airways, British Gas and British Steel between 1980-1990. Slaughter and May have 111 partners and 1,110 employees globally.
